Some of us are natural planners while others are content to “go-with-the-flow.” However, no matter what type you might think you are, we all have a tendency to desire our own plan and forget that God has a bigger and grander plan than we could ever know. Our plan and His sometimes lines up and other times it seems to be conflicting. In that case, we tend to feel hurt and forget that God loves us and His plan is perfect.
My gramma had plans for her different quilts; however, some of those plans we can’t figure out! This project we are currently working on has 7 of these strips, pictured below, and due to their layout, they cannot be sewn together without cutting the cream-colored squares in half (at least we don’t know away).
We have decided to make these beautiful strips into table runners so that more people can enjoy Gramma’s work. We would love to hear what you would have done with these strips!
We are still in the middle of this, so look forward to our completed work! We are planning on using different colored borders to tie in different colors, but who knows? Our plan might have to change.
If you are not certain of God’s plan, frustrated, confused, upset, etc. Know that you are not alone. God asks us to love him with all of our heart, mind, and soul (Matt. 22:37)! He wants your questions and concerns! Prayer is powerful. God bless you all, and we hope your quilting plans are going well!
