“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” ~Micah 6:8
Since I last posted, I have finished my tour on my Submarine, my husband and I moved across country from Washington to Virginia, and we have welcomed our baby girl into the world! With most of that behind me (besides being a first-time mom), I’m trying to get back into the swing of writing blog posts. Thank you to everyone who continued to read old posts while I was away! I feel called to keep this blog going so I can share the beauty of quilting and the truth of scripture with you. Thank you for supporting me by reading these posts. I hope to hear about your quilting adventures and walk with God!
This post will just be some pictures of projects that I have finished or am currently working, which I hope to expand upon in future posts, so stay tuned!

Here is a baby quilt I finished over a year ago. I’m looking forward to showing you all the free-motion quilting in this one!
If you are not familiar with the book of Micah, it’s a prophetic message about the coming judgment on Israel and Judah, due to their continued rebellion against God. Micah does not just warn the people, but he also delivers a message of hope. If you want to learn more, I recommend watching The Bible Project’s overview of Micah.
I chose Micah 6:8 for this post because I believe it clearly states what God desires from us. In a world of violence and confusion, it is easy to forget what is good. But this verse states God’s expectations into three simple, yet profound principles that guide how we are to live our lives.
This is a king-size quilt I made for my brother’s wedding. First time I have done scalloped edges on a quilt!

I made this quilt for my baby girl, Bonnie Marie. She is named after my grandma, who inspired me to start this blog.
Made in God’s image, we are called to treat others as God treats us: with justice and mercy. We are called to defend the rights of others, while also rejoicing when mercy is shown. Sounds complicated, right? How do we hold people accountable for their actions while also extending compassion and forgiveness?
I started a sea-creature themed quilt for Bonnie Marie before we changed her nursery theme to dragons. I still love the pattern I created, so I hope to finish it one day!
Walking humbly with our God reminds us to depend on Him, acknowledging His wisdom above our own. If we are walking with God daily, then how we live justly and love mercy becomes shaped by His justice and His mercy. The bible gives us clear instruction; God’s will is grounded in how we treat others, and how we walk with Him daily.

This reminds me of Matthew 22:36-40, where Jesus says that the greatest commandments are to love God and love our neighbors. Let us go forth into the world not full of hate or fear, but committed to doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with our God. Happy Quilting!
